Seeds of Hope in Liberia! (con't)
Seeds of Hope is one way Virginia Baptists can respond to the enormous challenge. All seeds sent will be distributed through local Liberian Baptist churches, making this a humanitarian response and an outreach effort. Send bean/pea varieties, cabbage, carrot, collards, corn, eggplant, okra, onion, radish, seed rice, squash, tomato, watermelon seeds by March 28, 2002, to: Richmond Baptist Association, Seeds to Liberia, 3111 Moss Side Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222.
Virginia Baptists also have the opportunity to send funds to assist in purchasing livestock and tractors. The livestock project will help to give Liberians a boost as they attempt to rebuild their country. Cost and upkeep of one cow will be about $800. Any amount you can contribute should be payable to Virginia Baptist Mission Board (Liberian Livestock Project) and mailed by March 15, 2002, to the Mission Mobilization Group, P.O. Box 8568, Richmond, VA 23226-0568.
