Mount Zion is planning a Christ In The Passover Meal for Saturday evening, March 19, at 5 p.m. Rev. Jim Hendricks, founder of Israel's Fullness Ministries, will lead the event. The meal will be a traditional Jewish Passover [also called Seder (say-der)]. Jim will explain its elements and how Jesus is revealed in the Passover as the Jewish Messiah. You will not want to miss this event. Bring your entire family. Registration is requested so that we can adequately prepare.
Norwood will have revival services May 1-4, 7:30 each evening, with Rev. Rick Via as guest evangelist.
Palestine's annual Wild Game Dinner on February 27 featured former major league baseball player, Dave Dravecky. Founder of Dave Dravecky's Outreach of Hope, a non profit organization, he eagerly addressed loss and suffering, faith, encouragement, and hope by saying goodbye to the past and reaching out to others. Dravecky, author of three books, was also the guest speaker during Palestine's Sunday morning service on the 28th.
Pecks will have revival services April 10-13, with Dr. Geoff Hammond as guest evangelist.
Quaker's Spring Revival will be March 13-16, 7:00 each evening. Tom Bailey, pastor of Keeling Baptist Mission, north of Danville, will be the guest evangelist.
Quaker and Mount Zion will have a joint sunrise service on Easter Sunday.
Suck Spring is celebrating her 200th anniversary this year. Rev. Steve Manuel will be the guest speaker for a special service on April 17. Other anniversary-year events include a new church directory in the spring and a Homecoming Celebration on October 2.
Thank you to the churches who participated in the Alma Hunt Offering for Virginia Missions in 2004. The total contributed by SBA churches was $10,803.50, and the association received $633.32 from the offering.
