Carilion Hospice Services and Bedford Hospice Care will offer the eighth annual Camp Treehouse April 21-23, 2006. This is a weekend camping experience for children, ages 6-17, who have lost a loved one. Camp Treehouse is an opportunity for kids to meet others their own age who know what it's like to lose a loved one. Campers will share memories and participate in many activities, such as arts, crafts, music, games, hiking, and team-building programs. The camp provides a caring, safe environment where children are free to explore their feelings and concerns. Parents are encouraged to attend, too. Cost is $40 per camper ($120 maximum per family).
