Mount Hermon has called Wayne Cocke as part-time Youth Director. He and his wife Carol have two children.
Rev. Rick Via will be the guest evangelist for revival services planned for May 19-22 at Mount Hermon.
Mount Olivet’s Spring Revival was March 24-28. Speakers included Daniel Wheeler, Rick Mallory, Mike Grooms, and Randy Hatcher. The services concluded on Thursday with a full Passover Seder.
Mount Zion's 2002 God Rules Youth Rallies will be conducted Sunday, April 14. The Bluefield College Baptist Student Union Worship Team will conduct worship services at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Bonded By Blood, a Christian Rap group, will present a concert at 5:30 Sunday evening as a prelude to the Rally. This is a church-wide event with an emphasis on Youth.
Mount Zion's Spring Revival meetings will take place Sunday, April 21. Rev. Jerry Parr, pastor for Suck Spring, will be preaching. Services will begin at 9:45 a.m. and continue during the 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. services. Music will be provided by Billy Witt and the Suck Spring Praise Team as well as the Dobie Toms Gospel Bluegrass Band.
Dr. James Hume, pastor of Timber Ridge, will lead revival services at Pecks April 28-May 3. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Weeknight services will be at 7. Designated nights: Sunday, AWANA; Monday, Sunday School; Tuesday, Youth; Wednesday, Missions; Thursday, Strawberry Association (folks from all SBA churches are invited); Friday, Family. Special music will be presented by Stan & Lisa Butler, Two for Him (Jan Stinnette & Cheryl Martin), Stinnette & Co., Vita Parker, and Pecks Quartet.
Radford will NOT hold Dedication Services for its new worship center on April 13 & 14. The work is going just a bit slower than anticipated, so please stay tuned for more information on the Dedication Service date.
