Mentow will host Passion Quest 2004 revival services April 25-28 at 7:00 each evening.. Dr. Robert G. Moore III, Pastor of Bonsack Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. Guest musicians will provide special music each evening. The church has called Mrs. Karen Woodford as part-time Minister of Music, effective May 1. Karen, who grew up at Mentow, is a teacher at Huddleston Elementary School and is married to Davie. They have two children, Hunter and Makayla.

Mentow will host Palestine Baptist and Huddleston United Methodist for a community Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. on April 11. Rev. David Bayse of the Methodist charge will bring the message which will be followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall.

Mount Zion will conduct revival services May 23-26 with evangelist Roger Roller as speaker, beginning with the 11:00 morning worship service. The revival will continue each night at 7:00 p.m. through Wednesday. Special music is being planned including The Bluegrass Gospel Heirs on Sunday night. Scott Bullman, Director for the Department Ministry Teams at Liberty University, will be singing Sunday morning.

Quaker will host Mount Zion (Body Camp) and Promise Land (Moneta) for an Easter sunrise service at 6:00 a.m. Rev. Stevens of Quaker will bring the message after which a fellowship breakfast will be served.

Trinity hosted a luncheon at Liberty Station Restaurant on March 25 honoring Mrs. Yvonne Nichols who is retiring as church secretary after 22 years of service. In addition to current and former members of Trinity; former pastors, Wessley Patterson and David Engleman and his wife Donaldo; Yvonne's husband. Jimmy, two sons. Mark and Jason, sisters, Charlotte, Carolyn, and Phyllis, her mother, and other family members; her pastor at Bethlehem, Tim Dooley and his wife Ruby; and other friends attended. Carolyn Sumner, who recently retired from the Juvenile Court Service Unit for Bedford County, has accepted the position as secretary of Trinity, effective the middle of April. Carolyn is chair of the Personnel Committee for Strawberry Association and has served as Clerk Pro Tem on several occasions.
