Rainbow Forest and Home Educators of Rainbow Forest will host “Answers in Genesis,” with special guest speaker Jim Gardner on Sunday, April 20, and Monday, April 21, 2008. Flyers have been included in the April newsletter packets mailed to each church.

Sedalia Baptist Women's Ministry presents their first conference on April 12, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They are excited to have the music and ministry of Bev Lowry who will be speaking on “Spiritual Growth in Times of Crisis.” For additional information please call 434.299.5039.

Shady Grove will have its spring revival with special guest Timothy Mark. Beginning on Sunday, April 6, at 6:30 p.m., services will continue at 7:00 each evening, Monday, April 7, through Thursday, April 10.

The AWANA group at Suck Spring treated the church to a spaghetti dinner March 5, with AWANA kids serving as waiters. A ladies’ retreat will be held April 19 from 10 a.m. until noon, with lunch being served. Delores Feazell, a member of Palestine Baptist, will be the guest speaker. Twenty-seven R&R kits were prepared for Virginia soldiers serving in Iraq. The kits were packed in gallon-size zip-lock bags and included books, DVDs, notes of encouragement, and snacks. Hearts on Call, a new women’s mission group, will meet on the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. The adult choir presented the cantata, In Christ Alone, at the 11 a.m. service, Easter morning. Pastor Michael Cox directed the choir and also delivered the Easter message.

Thaxton’s Young at Heart will be going to the Billy Graham Library on Thursday, April 3, 2008. Many from the church will be in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on April 15-16, touring the Amish countryside and attending the musical drama, “Daniel.”
