A Place for You in WMU (con't)
Tracy Proffitt, CrossRoads Office Manager and Summer Camp Director, was our featured speaker. She continued the theme for the meeting, with her personal testimony intertwined with a power point presentation of the ministry of CrossRoads Camp and Conference Center. She even led us in an enjoyable and informative game based on the familiar Tic-Tac-Toe.
Our special project called us to love the folks in our area who benefit from Bedford Christian Ministries. As the ladies arrived for the meeting, they brought blankets (25), baking sheets, frying pans, stock pots, two sets of cookware, and a huge assortment of canned goods and staples—enough for two trunkloads! Others gave a total of $90 to be used in the ministry.
The offering taken at the meeting totaled $322 and was given to Bedford Ride.
A bountiful and delicious covered dish lunch was served following the meeting. There were 56 WMU members present from 14 churches—Beaverdam, Bedford, Bethlehem, Flint Hill, Mentow, Morgans, Mount Olivet, Mount Zion, Palestine, Quaker, Radford, Sedalia, Shady Grove, and Timber Ridge. We were also glad to have three visitors and one pastor in attendance.
