I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the recent donation you made to the Bedford Domestic Violence Program. The towels, linens, and other items will be useful to families in the shelter.
It’s often surprising that the need for our services is so great in such a relatively small community. The following are statistics that were taken from the last fiscal year which ended July 1, 2001. According to our records there were:
535 Hotline calls
163 Walk-in clients
594 Nights of shelter for 19 families
268 Court accompaniments for 209 victims
89 Nights of emergency shelter
38 cell phones distributed
Individual, civic, and corporate donations will be more meaningful than ever this year as grant funding is not expected to increase due to the current state budget crisis. Therefore, support, such as yours, from within the local community is a tremendous asset. If you would like to schedule a speaker for a future meeting or conference please let us know.
Sincerely,
Conni St.John, Director
Bedford Domestic Violence Services
