Rev. Jack Richards has resigned as Minister of Education and Youth at Morgans to work on his doctorate and to preach.
Beginning May 11, Mount Zion will host a Marriage Enrichment Video Conference on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. (6 one-hour sessions). Entitled “Toward A Growing Marriage,” and featuring the renowned speaker and best selling author, Dr. Gary Chapman, topics are: (1) My Mate Won’t Talk, (2) He Thinks He’s Always Right, (3) If My Wife Would Just Shape Up, (4) I Don’t Love Her Anymore, (5) All He Thinks about is Sex, (6) My Mate Thinks Money Grows on Trees, (7) How to Share the Things that Bug You. This free conference will be good for married couples, those planning to marry, or even one spouse.
Norwood will have spring revival services beginning Sunday morning, May 25, lasting through May 28. Evening services start at 7:00. Rev. James Newman is the guest speaker. Special singing each evening. Plans are underway, with ground breaking soon, for a building addition at Norwood. Plans include enlarging and renovating the present sanctuary, additional Sunday School classrooms, a library, baptistry, and new fellowship hall.
You’re invited to join Palestine for their 150th year celebration and revival with Rev. Charles Fuller on May 16-18. May 16 & 17, 7 p.m.; Sunday, May 18, TBA. Following a fellowship meal on Sunday, “The Faithmen” will present a southern gospel concert. Five former pastors will return for this special occasion.
Suck Spring will hold revival May 25-28, and invites you to come be revived and blessed by the inspirational Bible-centered messages of Dr. Charles W. Fuller, Pastor Emeritus of First Baptist Church in Roanoke. There will be special music every service. Times: Sunday, May 25, 11 a.m. & 7 p.m.; and Monday through Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Trinity voted unanimously on April 27 to call Dr. Frank Schmitt, former pastor at Staunton Baptist, as interim pastor.
