YOU can be a missionary to inner city children from NYC this summer for 2 weeks without leaving the comforts of your home! We need 25 families to host a child this summer (June 30-July 14 or July 30-Aug. 9) and share some FRESH AIR, FUN and their FAITH with these kids. This is a wonderful ministry opportunity since you can take these children to Sunday School, Vacation Bible School or even send them to a Christian day camp while they are here. Which Sunday school class needs a ministry? Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging delivers a hot meal to 40 senior citizens in the city of Bedford three days each week. We would like to increase the number of days. If your group or class would consider delivering one or more days each month, please call Doris Ott or David Edwards at 540-385-9070. The food is already hot, and we provide the training. We need a dependable group of volunteers to help these Bedford citizens who have difficulty fixing a nutritious meal for themselves.
