Our SBA Evangelism Committee is preparing for Bedford's CenterFest in September. Like last year, we will provide a baby changing station and free water and lemonade to our visitors. A stage area is being built that will serve the puppet and drama teams, and we are inviting as many churches as are interested to send some "missionaries" to Bedford for the day. It will be a wonderful opportunity to introduce ourselves to the 15,000 people passing through town on this extraordinary Saturday!
A special project this year will be a "Strawberry Sensations" recipe book to pass out to everyone who comes by the booth. We plan for it to be about eight pages in length, and we need all our churches to send in strawberry recipes for this to happen. Please help us get the word out for favorite recipe submissions. We will not include individuals' names, but rather the church's name as the contributor. Also included in the booklet will be information about our congregations, a Gospel tract, and our Website address where folks can go to download even more "Strawberry Sensations" and learn more about the ministries of Strawberry Baptist Association. Be a part of this year's evangelism emphasis, and help us put our recipe book together.
More than $700 was raised at the Timothy Mark concert at Trinity Baptist Church sponsored by Because We Care Ministries for mission work in Nicaragua.
