All churches and individuals who will take part in the booth ministries need to call or e-mail Rita Calhoun at 540-297-5271 or acvaowlsnest@aol.com. She can best be reached in the evenings after work. Rita will fit your team into the Saturday schedule to work an hour or two, depending on the number of overall volunteers. The more volunteers, the lighter the load on everyone! We also need stage ministry teams. These folks will share with puppets, clowning, mime, interpretive movement, balloons, face painting, etc. These, too, will only need to minister for an hour or two. Matt Stafford is our stage ministries organizer, and he can be reached at 540-586-8953 or matman_24174@yahoo.com. Matt will provide the stage or platform. The booth will be set up early on Saturday morning prior to CenterFest's 10:00 a.m. start. Schedules will be posted at the booth itself. We will pack things up and be gone by 6:00 p.m. If you are unable to reach Rita and Matt, simply call the Association office.
Remember to include one of our rallies on your planning calendar. These identical rallies will meet on September 9 and 17 at Bedford and Trinity churches respectively. We start at 7:00 p.m. and conclude by 8:30. Rita will go over the nuts and bolts of the evangelism project and provide an overview of the schedule, assignments, and booth how-to's. Matt will talk about the stage ministries and allow time for some of the teams to do a dry run. Steve Manuel and Marc Jantomaso will talk about street visitation etiquette, how to use the recipe booklet and maps, and prayer walking. By the time we leave the rally we'll have a good understanding of how to make our CenterFest experience one of the best.
Brethren, unless the church across the street ministers to the lost and needy before her eyes, this county will continue to stumble in darkness. Let's not miss a perfect and divine opportunity to meet our neighbors and share something of the love of Christ with them.
