Mount Hermon will have homecoming services on September 12, beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. Eugene Campbell will bring the main message, with other former pastors, Ken Bryant, Cam Napier, and Woody Elliott, speaking briefly. A covered dish lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall.
Rev. Michael S. Jones concluded his ministry as pastor of Mount Olivet on Sunday, August 22.

Dominique Litchford and Justin Wainscott of Mount Zion were recently honored for their excellence in Children's Bible Drills. Dominique, age 13, was a State Bible Drill Winner in an event conducted at Beulah Baptist Church in Lynchburg on June 6. Justin, age 8, was a church Bible Drill Winner in an event conducted May 9 at Mount Zion. Justin was not eligible to participate in the state drill because of his young age. Janet Ross and Lenny Litchford are the church's Bible Drill leaders. Rev. Larry Ross is pastor.
Norwood celebrated the completion of their building addition on Sunday, August 29, with a dedication service and lunch. Additions include a baptistry, fellowship hall, kitchen, classrooms, and restrooms. Dr. William Vest is pastor.
Thaxton will begin a "40 Days of Purpose" emphasis on September 19, 9:30 a.m.
