Mentow will celebrate 100 years of ministry October 27 & 28. Saturday afternoon's 4:30 program guests will be Dr. Bert Browning and his wife Rose and Rev. Steve Manuel. The service will be followed by an old fashioned "wiener roast." The 9 a.m. service on Sunday will feature guest speakers, Mr. G.C. Luck, Jr. and Mr. George N. Cooper (grandsons of former pastors). Program guests for the 11 a.m. service will be Rev. Lytle Buckingham and his wife Suzanne. A catered lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Rolen Bailey and his wife Frances will participate in the 2 p.m. service which will conclude with the opening of the cornerstone.

Morgans will have revival services October 14-17. Rev. Eddie Cole will be the guest evangelist and his wife Jessica will participate in the music.

Mount Olivet invites all former and prospective members to its biannual Homecoming service on Sunday, October 7, 10:30 a.m. Come meet new friends, greet church family, and see new babies. The Rev. Rucker Burnette will bring the spoken message and Ritchie Burnette will present the message in song. An outdoor potluck luncheon will follow the service, weather permitting.

Mount Zion Baptist Men sent a team of 7 to assist with the disaster relief effort for flood victims in Southwest Virginia. The team consisted of 4 adult men and 3 teenage young men. The work included hanging sheet rock, carpentry and painting. The team spent Friday night, worked on Saturday and returned Saturday night.

The WMU conducted a coat closet at the old Montvale Elementary School in September and ministered to 33 people. Total offerings for Alma Hunt State Missions were $636.32. A Prove-The-Tithe Emphasis is being conducted during the month of October.

North Bedford will host the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet on October 14, 7 p.m.

Sedalia is looking for a worship leader to direct a 30+ member choir and the Sunday morning praise/worship service. For info, contact pastor Mike Jones, 804-299-5039.

Staunton invites you to bring your children to our October 31st from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Children’s Ministry and Volunteers at Staunton Baptist Church are preparing a night filled with fun that you will wish you were a child again. So mark your calendar, call your friends, just tell everyone to join you! This event is targeted for children from the 5th grade to just little ity-bitty ones. Just look and see what we have to offer…

Terrace View will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, October 21, with a morning of worship and singing followed by a covered dish lunch.
