Mount Hermon will celebrate Homecoming and its 215th anniversary on October 13. The day will begin with a song service at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Eugene Campbell will bring the main message. A covered dish luncheon will follow the service.
Seven youth and 11 adults from Pecks recently served on a mission team to Minneapolis, North Carolina.
Fall Revival Services at Quaker will be October 6-9, 7 p.m.. Rev. Melvin Harris, pastor of Halesford Church, will be the guest speaker.
Rainbow Forest would like to invite area churches to come and share in what God is doing locally and around the world by attending RFBC's Reaching Neighbors—Touching the Nations Missions Conference. The Conference will be held at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church beginning Friday evening, November 1, through Wednesday evening, November 6. There will be a Family Missions Movie Night on Friday evening, Missions Fair on Saturday, and many special guest missionary speakers throughout the week. You won't want to miss the Wednesday evening International Banquet and Fashion Show. Come and learn how to minister by way of English! An English As a Second Language Training will be held at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church on November 14-18 with teacher Betty Howell. Cost is $20 to purchase the Conversational English notebook. ESL Training Schedule will be: Thursday and Friday at 6:30-9:30 p.m.; Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. If you are interested in learning how to teach Conversational English to internationals and would like to participate in this 4-day training, you may contact Rhonda by phone at 977-1789, ext. 112, or via email to missions@rainbowforest.com.
Sedalia was featured in the September issue of Missions Mosaic, the WMU magazine for adult’s.
Thaxton has recently completed a mission project at the Baptist Friendship House in Roanoke. Week-long activities included Bible study and recreation with 26-30 children each day as well as yard work, painting, etc.
