I want to express my appreciation and praise to everyone who worked so hard to put together an excellent meeting. With over 190 in attendance we participated together in worship, song, and business. Even the unexpected early conclusion of the afternoon session was fun! Many are still commenting on how much they enjoyed the free time to sit around tables and visit. We may want to keep that in mind as we plan for next year. It wasn’t time wasted, but time shared.
I was most impressed by the sweet spirit of everyone present. I look forward to getting to know everyone better as you continue to invite me to take part in your local ministries. We have such depth to draw from in this Association, and we should never take for granted what great things God is doing in our midst.
Next year’s opportunities are huge. A church plant, mission trips to distant places, revitalization ministries to local congregations, outreach efforts to Hispanics in our communities, youth ministry development, and much more.
Now where will you fit into all of this? Be specific in your time alone with God, and then be an obedient hearer as He points out where and how you are to join Him in cheerful service. Let the Lord be Master of your time, gifts, and finances to the end that God is honored, our churches are built up, and we as individual believers are “blessed indeed”.
