The Christmas Promise from Isaiah 9 (con't)
He is called "Jesus (Savior)" because He will save His people from their sins. He is called "Immanuel (God with us)" because God became flesh and dwelt among us. His Spirit is He who walks beside us to comfort and counsel and is indeed Wonderful. He is no less than Mighty God, our Everlasting Father, Alpha and Omega who was and is and is to come. And all of us who know Him have come to experience first hand why He is called the Prince of Peace, because His unfathomable peace carries us through the most dark valleys and stormy seas in unexpected ways that we cannot understand this side of heaven.
We pray for you God's abundant blessing this Christmas and New Year. As you celebrate with your family, hold them close and see God's love at work.
