WMU Executive Board Meeting
Monday, January 10, 2005, 5:30 p.m., SBA office
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are not too stressed out for Christmas. There is something I want you to consider while you are shopping and doing things with your hands but your mind is not busy. Our annual meeting is in March and I thought it would be a good idea to have a quilt show. That would get a lot of people there and make for an interesting meeting. Tell me what you think of each church making a quilt square that features something outstanding that church has done. Here is what I propose:

One 9 inch square from each church (cut square large enough to allow for straightening and seam allowance.)
Background fabric should be 100% cotton, prewashed
Topic could be illustrated by writing, photo transfer, applique (be creative)
Use an archival pen (available for $2.69 from any quilt shop)

Anyone can bring a quilt that is special to them for display. We could get a guest speaker to talk about how quilts are symbolic of missions. We need to discuss this at our meeting on the 10th.
