Last month's Youth Movie Night was excellent! Thanks to those of you who promoted the event to your community and church youth. The approximately 200 teens who came (it was hard to count so many moving active bodies) consumed dozens of pizzas and gallons of drinks. Bedford Baptist did a fantastic job of hosting, and their youth and workers stayed well after in order to clean up. Great job! Judy Ward of Mt. Olivet and Jeanne Willis of Bedford were our fearless leaders, and you could tell they were well prepared. By their example and leadership, the evening went off without a hitch, and the young people were on their way home by 8:00 p.m.

We will be having more special youth gatherings in the months to come. Please stay informed, help spread the word, and pray how God will use you to reach our teenagers. If there are some of you who are willing to work with Judy in putting these kinds of activities together, please send me an e-mail or call the office. We'll follow up. *NEWS FLASH* Travis Bush, youth director at Hunting Creek Church in Big Island, just contacted us with an invitation for area youth to attend a Music/Drama Youth Event they are hosting on Friday, March 31, 7:00-9:30 p.m. For details, email Travis at tebush@liberty.edu.

A Sunday School Leader Training seminar will be led by Josh Hunt, author of "You Can Double Your Class in Two Years or Less." The seminar begins at 1:00 p.m. and concludes at 4:00. Cost is $10 per person or $100 per church. For more information contact the Henry County Baptist Association at 276- 638-2951.

Women on Mission: Radford is leading devotionals at Oakwood Manor in March; Thaxton will lead them in April. Diamond Hill will host the March birthday party for residents of Bedford County Nursing Home; Palestine will host it in April.

Several ladies from Fort Trial Baptist Church, Stanleytown, Virginia, will present the program on World Missions Unlimited.

The special emphasis this year is Project Help: Poverty. To help relieve poverty in the Bedford area, each WMU group is asked to bring items for Bedford Christian Ministries. Items needed are bed sheet sets, blankets, towels, and washcloths. A suggestion would be for your group to bring either a set of sheets, sets of towels/washcloths, or a blanket.
