Jim and Carson Kistner open their home to you as a pastor or missionary couple in need of refreshment. Perhaps you need time to relax and be pampered a bit. Or perhaps you need time to pause and reflect on God's goodness to you and on His direction for your life as a couple. Whatever your need, Shepherd's Rest exists to extend the love of Jesus, providing rest for the weary and heavy-laden soul.

In fair weather you may relax by the pool and take a dip. For the more energetic, you may choose to hike on the trails through 48 acres of mountainous forest. Later you might soak in the hot tub while you watch a beautiful sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains.

If the weather is inclement, a well-stocked library of encouraging books and video teachings await your perusal. A game room offers a variety of diversions, and some exercise equipment is also available.

A continental breakfast is served each morning in the sunroom or on the deck, and some evening meals may be served as well. Box lunches or picnic baskets can also be arranged should you desire to carry them on a day's outing or just up the mountainside for a picnic in the woods.

Attractive bedrooms offer queen-sized beds with adjacent private bathrooms.
